The Effingham County Power Project is a 525 MW two-on-one combined cycle power plant. The combustion turbines are General Electric 7FA units, the heat recovery steam generators were supplied by Nooter/Eriksen and the 190 MW steam turbine was supplied by Toshiba.
Gemma’s EPC scope of work included development support, complete plant design, and construction from site development through substation construction and electrical interconnection, including the off-site gas metering station. Construction release was received on Feb. 1, 2002 and commercial operation was achieved in August 2003.
