The Rowan County power project is a 525 MW two-on-one combined cycle power plant. The combustion turbines are General Electric 7FA units. The heat recovery steam generators were supplied by Nooter/Eriksen and the 190 MW steam turbine was supplied by Toshiba.
Gemma’s EPC scope of work included complete plant design and construction, from site development through electrical interconnection and initial plant operations. Construction began in November 2001 and commercial operation was achieved in May 2003.
