The Middletown Energy Center is a 475 MW state-of-the-art natural gas-fired power plant facility in Middletown, Ohio. The project features an advanced Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas (MHPSA) M501GAC combustion turbine generator (CTG), a Vogt Power International supplementary-fired heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) and a Toshiba America Energy Systems steam turbine generator (STG).
The NTE Middletown Energy Center project employed 600 craft workers at the peak of construction. Approximately 25 full-time employees will operate the facility.
Full notice-to-proceed was received on Oct. 2, 2015. Substantial completion was achieved in May 2018.
